Why is Recycle Important ?

I choose this article because I think there are several interesting information in this article. It tells many details about recycling such as meaning of recycling, the different between reuse and recycle and the benefits of recycling. I can use some benefits of recycling in this article to relate with my term paper.

Summary:
According to Ghosh (2010), recycling is the process to collect waste and then reprocess it. It is the different from reuse. Reuse is the way to use the old product, but recycling is the way to bring the old product and changes it into the new goods. There are three stages of the process to recycle. Ghosh also explain that there are five major topics that why is recycling important. Firstly, it saves energy because manufacturing new products from virgin materials uses high energy. Secondly, it saves environment and reduces pollution. It can prevent global climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Thirdly, it saves resources. Next, it benefits economic by creating employment opportunities. The final is to save space.

Reflection:
After I read this article, I think that recycling has a lot of benefits. I agree with the passage that recycling can prevent global climate change. Global climate change is a one big problem of our world because it has many bad effects to people and our environment. Nowadays, there are a lot of harmful gases that release from the manufactoring in our environment. It causes global climate change. If recycling can help to reduce or prevent global climate change, I think that everyone in our world should increase recycling. For example, using shoulder bag replace using plastic bag.
